The Fishers Fire Department’s EMS Division provides 24/7 advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) coverage to our community. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, high-quality medical care in every emergency.
Our Services
We operate seven fire stations strategically located across the city, each equipped to respond quickly to medical emergencies.
Our response network includes:
- 7 ALS/BLS engines
- 3 ALS/BLS ladder companies
- 1 EMS Duty Officer
- 3 ALS medic units staffed by paramedics and EMTs
Our paramedics are trained to deliver advanced care, such as cardiac monitoring, airway management, and medication administration, ensuring life-saving treatment before patients reach the hospital.

Fishers Police Department
Patrol cars equipped with automatic external defibrillators (AEDs), tactical medics on the Emergency Response Team (ERT), and specialized training for dual-role police/paramedic officers.
Fishers Health Department
We partner on joint initiatives, like the Fall Prevention Program, to reduce injuries among residents and emergency calls received due to accidental falls.

Paramedicine Program
Focused on proactive, community-based medical care to support residents beyond traditional emergency responses.

Medical Oversight
Our medical protocols and quality standards are guided by Indiana University Hospitals, Indianapolis, under the leadership of Dr. Paige Ostahowski, our Medical Director. Dr. Ostahowski ensures our teams deliver the highest level of pre-hospital medical care.
