Fire Corps members provide rehab support to firefighters on emergency incidents and participate in educational opportunities sponsored by the department, as well as city and department events.

The Fire Corps maintains the Rehab Support Unit (RSU 309) truck, equipment, and supplies, and provides rehabilitation services during hands-on training. 

 Responsibilities include: 

  • Assisting with public education   
  • Provide safety messaging during department and city events 
  • Supporting at emergency incidents 
  • Assist with installation of smoke alarms and battery changes

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, pass a criminal background check, and have received a high school diploma or GED. All candidates must complete the Fire Corp Application and Background Disclosure and Authorization Form.
