Fishers Fire Corps

Fire Corps members provide rehab support to firefighters on emergency incidents and participate in educational opportunities sponsored by the department, as well as city and department events.

How do I get a copy of my run report?

You may contact our billing company, MedBill, by em a il (records@getmedbill.com) or at 317-849-6628 ext. 3 during normal business hours on Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. You will be required to show a picture ID and fill out the necessary HIPAA forms mandated by federal law. You may also request your records be sent in electronic format.

Does Fishers have laws regarding fireworks?

Yes, see the fireworks ordinance explaining what fireworks may be used and when they may be used.

What kind of burning is permitted?

Fires are permitted for celebrating Twelfth Night ceremonies, school pep rallies, scouting activities, recreational and cooking purposes (i.e., camp fires),and residential burning (burning is absolutely prohibited in apartment complexes and mobile home parks).

How do I apply for the Fire Department?

How many AEDs do I need at my work site?

The goal is to have an AED located so that it can be reached and deliver a shock within three minutes. The placement of AEDs is usually determined by the size of your facility. Often, one AED is enough but if your facility is spread out or on several floors of a building, more than one may be recommended.

How much does an AED cost?

The price varies by make and model. Most AED’s cost between $1,100 and $2,000. The Fire Department is partnering with several vendors to obtain the best price available for businesses interested in implementing an AED program. Please contact the Fishers Fire Department for more info.

What training is involved?

Training typically involves a course in CPR; the use of barrier devices in CPR; the use of an AED; and how to recognize the signs of stroke, heart attack, and cardiac arrest. The class lasts about two to three hours. Contact the Fishers Fire Department for more info.
