The Operations Division provides the frontline emergency response that protects the Fishers community at all hours of the day. Our crews respond to fire, medical, rescue, and hazardous materials incidents with professionalism, readiness, and a commitment to exceptional service.

Fire Suppression & Rescue
Operations personnel protect life and property through coordinated firefighting and rescue operations.
- 3 24-hour shifts
- 7 strategically located fire stations
- Engines, ladders, and support units staffed 24/7
- Technical and dive rescue capabilities

Emergency Medical Services
The Fishers Fire Department provides advanced medical care through an integrated, fire-based EMS system.
- Firefighters certified as Paramedics and EMTs
- ALS and BLS care from engines, ladders, and ambulances
- Focus on clinical excellence and community-centered service

Hazardous Materials Response
Operations personnel are trained and equipped to safely manage hazardous materials incidents.
- Ongoing hazmat awareness and operations training
- Support for chemical, biological, and environmental hazard mitigation
Leadership & Structure
The Operations Division is overseen by the Deputy Chief of Operations and supported by six Battalion Chiefs. Battalion Chiefs manage daily staffing, emergency response coordination, and shift-level operations to ensure crews are prepared and supported at all times.
